Goals for 2015

2015-Resolutions

Ok, when it comes to making new years resolutions I don’t make any. It’s not because I don’t think I can keep them, it’s because I’m a believer in a little bit of everything can’t hurt you.

I am however going to set myself some goals for this little blog here. (That’s different to resolutions, right?) I have lot’s that I’d like to achieve with my blog in 2015 and I hope you will follow me along the way. You’ll see changes big and small, new features and collaborations and if there’s anything you’d like me to feature, just get in touch!

In no particular order here’s a few things I’d like to do on Danni Saw This in 2015:

• Artist/Designer/Photographer of the month

• Offer more free downloads

• Collaborate with great bloggers

• Improve my SEO

• Have more confidence in selling my photo’s (and don’t feel bad about it!)

• Regular updates on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Bloglovin

• Network! Network! Network…

• …Create a network of northern bloggers, so we can share/meet up/feature our wonderful artists and designers that we have here in the north of England.

I also have some big aspirations that will take me a little longer than a year to achieve, but hey, a girl can dream! Like designing a book and creating a little bit of joy with my ‘I Saw This & Thought’ photos (I have something in mind which I will hopefully be able to share with you).

Did you make any resolutions this year? Do you have anything you’d like to achieve in 2015? Let me know!

Happy New Year, Danni x

Merry-Christmas-Post

Christmas is nearly here and I’d like to wish all my lovely readers and fellow bloggers a very Merry Christmas and thank you for all your support this year, I couldn’t have asked for more.

I’m taking a break from blogging over Christmas, spending time with family and friends (I’m sure I’ll sneak a few hours blogging in somewhere, I can’t resist!) and I’ll be back in the new year with some exciting new posts for you all.

Merry Christmas, Danni x

This is an exciting time for Danni Saw This as I’ve only been posting for a year, so it would be great to see how you the readers feel about my blog. I don’t expect to win (no I’m not throwing in the towel yet) I’d just like to see how far I can get at my first year of entering the awards. As they say, being nominated is brilliant!

So, please…. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

A great big thank you! x

Danni Saw This is now on Folksy

After years of promising myself this, I now have a shop on Folksy, a wonderful site dedicated to British designers and crafters, selling my ‘I Saw This and Thought…’ photos.

I haven’t been on the site for long and I’m in the process of adding new prints to my shop each week, but I’m very excited about this new venture. I really hope you like the prints I’m offering and if there’s a specific photo you think I should be selling from my Instagram page then let me know!

I’m selling my prints as both single and as a collection of four prints (images of your choice) and keeping them quite small, as I think they’re just a little bit quirkier that way!

How about an architecture print?

B&W Flat Iron Nat His Museum York Shambles

Or a beautiful flower print?

Pink Ruffles PIC Pink Anemone PIC pink hydrangeas PIC

There’s many more prints available in my shop, with prints constantly being added, so keep checking back, you never know what you might find… and want to buy!

A great big Thank you! x

Time for a New Look

New Look Post

You may have noticed something a little different around here…

As I’m celebrating a year of blogging I decided to give Danni Saw This a new and updated look, what do you think?

Throughout the year my style has naturally evolved, and I wanted to reflect this within my blog design. I had been thinking about a new blog style for a long time as I was always wanting to add and change things on my previous design. As a designer I’m never settled, I’m always evolving my style, tweaking and changing here and there, but I finally settled on the design you see today. It’s still green, of course (it’s my favourite colour!), and I’ve introduced the speech bubble as my new header. I decided that I wanted everything to be cleaner and not so fussy, to let the blog posts do the talking – I hope you like it.

You will also notice an exciting new button at the top… I now have a Folksy shop, where I’m selling my ‘ I Saw This & Thought’ photos. I’m slowly building up my products on here, so keep checking back for new photos to buy. If there’s an image I’ve taken over on my Instagram page that you’d like, and I haven’t put on Folksy, don’t worry, just get in touch and I can print this for you, it’s no trouble!

I finally have to say a big thank you to my other half for making it all work, without his invaluable input you would have got a static page with no whizzy button and links. But I’m learning and growing my blogging (or should that be web skills) so I can do these fancy tricks in the future!
