Without realising I have had a theme running through my photo’s; rustic nature. I first noticed it when I began putting this post together, the colours are quite rustic and I feel like I’ve been away at a countryside retreat somewhere in the Provence regions of France, sadly I haven’t, everything you see here was shot in good old Yorkshire. It’s pleasantly surprising what this lovely country has to offer…
I love that feeling when Friday comes around – you feel unstoppable and nothing can get in the way of the weekend. This is how I’m feeling right now.
Happy weekend x
There was a time when the clashing of patterns or colours was a big no no, it wasn’t trendy, it looked silly… but fast forward a few years, it’s now acceptable to clash those patterns and colours, and this is something I’m very happy about. When things clash they look unique, creating their own design within a design.
When it comes to interiors I don’t like things to match either; my mugs, glasses, side plates and cushions don’t match, but yet they’re still a collection to me. They key is don’t be afraid to mix things up, it doesn’t have to be a bold move, just little bit here and there. Try clashing your cushion covers to begin with, you’ll be surprised at how good they’ll look as a collection. If you’re brave enough, clash your furniture with your wallpaper for a striking look!
Remember clashing patterns and colours is acceptable and also lots of fun!
Well that was a quick week, Friday, it’s nice to see you again.
Happy weekend x
For the love of burgers I can’t believe I nearly forgot about National burger day! I had a whole different post planned and then I saw what day it was and remembered my burger post. Get me a burger quick!
27th of August is National Burger Day here in the UK, which started here last year by Mr. Hyde, after recognising that the UK didn’t celebrate the juicy burger, but the USA did. Restaurants across various cities offer their loyal customers 20% off their delicious burger creations and there’s even a street food event in London to celebrate this great day.
I’m usually drawn to a burger restaurant by their branding alone, there is just something that attracts me to their restaurant to find out more about them, and try their gourmet burgers of course! These are a few of my favourites…
So where ever you are, (and it doesn’t matter if you’re not in the UK) enjoy National Burger Day!
On the 27th September Danni Saw This will be a year old. I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for a whole year.
To celebrate this I’m giving the opportunity for two lucky designers/bloggers the chance to advertise on Danni Saw This for FREE for one month. Your ad will be placed down the right hand side of the page, under my Pinterest activity.
There’s only 1 week left to enter this competition so HURRY!
The size of each ad is 300pxl x 150pxl and will be live on the blog for a month, starting on the 29th September.
For your chance to win 1 of 2 ad spots just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet me at @dannistoker with your blog/website name and web address before the 5th September. I’ll then pick two lucky winners at random and your ad will be live on Danni Saw This for a month.
All that’s left to say is Good Luck! x
This week has flown by and the weekend is finally here. It’s no ordinary weekend, but one of the last bank holidays of the year, so make the most of the extra long weekend, wether you spend it with friends or family, have a good one.
Happy weekend x
