Something a little different for today’s Fun Friday post. For all you fellow Yorkshire men and ladies out there, and those who are not from God’s country, today is Yorkshire Day, where we celebrate everything that’s great from this wonderful county.
My favourite thing from Yorkshire has to be Yorkshire puddings, I’m salivating over these photos as I type (sorry!) These gastronomical little wonders are the perfect accompaniment to any traditional Sunday lunch, with their crispy outer edges and soft, fluffy centres. Delicious!
Everyone has their own variation of the Yorkshire Pudding recipe, adding little extras here and there to make them special. I like to add lots of black pepper and herbs to my batter, giving them an added kick when you bite into them. These Yorkshire’s have thyme in them, something I will have to try next time! The recipe is by blogger Izy Hossack from Top With Cinnamon and can be found here. How do you eat yours?
Happy weekend x
