DIY Christmas Starry Garland

Posted On: Monday, November 23, 2015

In collaboration with Wren Kitchens. All thoughts and designs are my own and no money was exchanged for this post.

I’ve started my Christmas posts early (sorry!) as I’ve got lot’s of things I’d like to share with you, and mainly because I couldn’t wait, so first up is my Starry Garland, which you can download for free and make yourself at home, ready in time for Christmas.

I was asked by Wren Kitchens to create something crafty for Christmas to compliment their new Linda Barker collection. As the range features geometric influences I thought this would be a perfect element to incorporate in my design, and as I love geometrics I couldn’t resist. I thought a garland would be great to design as you can hang it anywhere in your house, even in a kitchen!

My stars are the geometric element within the garland, and I think they compliment the glittery lettering wonderfully. I’ve attached my stars and letters to ribbon with just a small amount of tape, which gives it a clean finish, but you could thread the ribbon or twine through each element for a more craftier look.

There are two great colour trends around at the moment and I wanted to use these within my designs, giving the Christmas theme a bit of a twist; Silver with Mint and Gold with Rose. Both colours are offered within the download so you can mix the designs up as much as you want.

The download includes both colour ways for you use. You don’t even have to stick to my colours, use the elements as a template/stencil to create your own personal design that reflects your home.
